Nainital's famous Naini Lake is dying

Nainital's famous Naini Lake is breaking away. Nainital's existence remains on this lake itself. People get water from the lake, so the tourism industry of the city is also running on this support. The water of this lake has now reduced to dangerous levels. As soon as a goods grows upwards towards the road from bus stand, it appears to be the ruin of Naini Lake. In Uttarakhand this winter has given rise to concerns over the faces of farmers and gardeners with less snow than expected. The lowest impact of snowfall is fixed on conventional sources of water.

Naini Lake

In any case, more than half of the water in Uttarakhand has passed away due to low rainfall and snowfall and random constructions. But most worry is now about the existence of Naini Lake which has been a favorite of the film industry in a span of time and also the special choice of newly married people. This lake is drying up. In January, water level of this lake reached about four feet. Now in April, Nainital administrator Deepak Rawat has admitted that the water level of the lake has come down to fourteen feet below normal. It has been the lowest in the past few years. If the water of Naini Lake falls on this speed, its existence will end.

In the year 2012, the water level of Naini Lake was 5.95 feet in the month of December and in 2013-14 it was 6.60 feet. This year, the water level in the lake has declined significantly. The main reason is the continuous short fall in  rains and snowfall. But another major reason is the indiscriminate construction of Nainital. For this reason, on one side, when the source of water was complete, on the other side, the land did not even leave the rain water. All the water of Sara falls down from the hills all around. The water that used to reach the lake in the lake, which was earlier used to reach the lake, is slowly decreasing.

With the decrease of the rain, Naini Lake's water level is not able to fill the lake so much that its gate will be shed extra water. This situation has come twice in the last five years. In the year 2012, the drainage gates of Naini Lake could not be opened in the rain and could not be opened last year too. The population around the lake has doubled in the last two decades. Now it has become sixty thousand. It is clear that the water requirement was also doubled and the open part of the forest and the mountain fell also. Earlier there were many small ponds and waterfalls that were rapidly over.

Actually, the state government wants to increase its earnings from tourism but does not make any effort to save the environment. Because of this the environment is getting affected. A part of Naini Lake, which falls in front of the bus while entering the city, there is a dry ground of the lake. Seeing this, the attraction of the tourists is also going down. They do not want to stay in a place where the drought part of the lake can be seen. This is the beginning. If the efforts to save the lake are not done on time, this dry part will increase. Nainital's tourism industry would also be affected if the tourists turned their backs due to the drying lake.

The government has made a lake authority and has banned random construction till Mukteshwar, but it is not being implemented in this manner. Famous Fruit Patti of Nainital district Ramgarh is ending with such untimely hotels. Next is the Almora example, where the weather has changed much sharply in the last two decades. Due to continuous forest cutting and construction, the fan is now running in Almora. It is clear that if the green fills are left then the lake and the waterfalls will all be saved.
